Our Next Fundraiser
Don’t forget to join Friends of the Limestone Township Library District on Tuesday, June 17 to enjoy great pizza and support a great cause. Community members are invited to gather at Monical's Pizza for their “Community Day" fundraiser.

When ordering, show the flier on your phone or print it out and bring it in! Flyers are available at the library.
Monical’s will donate 20% of participating tickets to Friends of the Limestone Township Library District. This offer is good at the Kankakee and Bourbonnais locations only.

Who are we?
We are the Friends of the Library. As a nonprofit corporation, we collect and administer gifts, bequests and other monies (outside of local tax receipts) that help make the library’s many programs become an integral part of our community.
These additional funds help our library in purchasing additional books as well as replacing damaged ones. We also support programs such as the summer reading finale, Fall Festival, and Evening with Santa.
Mission Statement:
The Limestone Township Library District Friends of the Library support and advocate for the patrons and staff of the Limestone Township Library District by contributing to library programming, fundraising and enhancing the appearance of our library and community in the spirit of friendship.
Become a Friend of the Library
The Friends of the Library are people just like you who value the importance of the library. But more than that, we take action. For example, we added new public access computers, and redesigned the entry area which included new artwork, chairs, and book carts for our year-round Book Sale. We have sponsored several wonderful and exciting programs, and volunteer for the semi-annual "big" book sales.
Our funds help support:
- -Programs for children and adults
- -New computers/technology
- -New books and other materials for the library and its patrons
