Pre-K - Kindergarten


Storytime           
Tuesday, September 5th

Enjoy the mix of crafts, stories, and music to help young children develop a love for reading. Parents and guardians can bring their 6-months to 5-year-old children. Also meeting on September 12th and 26th, October 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st, November 7th, 14th, and 28th, and December 5th, 12th, and 26th.



Grandparents and Me - 
Storytime at Night
Thursday, September 7th
6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
Pre-k and up

Come for Storytime with Grandma and Grandpa in the Evening. Enjoy the mix of crafts, stories, and music to help young children develop a love for reading. Parents and guardians can bring their 6-months to 5-year-old children.
 
Tiny Explorers
Tuesday, September 19th
10:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M.


Playing at a number of stations, children will learn fine motor skills with the help of manipulatives. Activities are meant for children from ages 6 months to 5 years old. This program also occurs October 17th, November 21st, and December 19th.

Kindergarten and up



Lego Building
Saturday, September 9th
1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Our Lego building blocks and your creativity can only add up to lots of fun at the library. Join us and other Lego enthusiasts for an afternoon of building fun. For children in Kindergarten and up. This event will also occur September 23rd, November 18th, December 2nd, and December 23rd.

 



Monarch Book Club
Monday, September 11th
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
1st- 3rd Grade

Kids in 1st -3rd Grade have their own book club. We will read the book of the month at our gathering time and have a crafting session. This event will also take place on October 5th, November 2nd, and December 7th.


Caudill Award Book Club

Monday, September 25
6:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
4th – 8th Grades

Kid in 4th-7th Grade get to meet each month to discuss a Caudill Award winning book from the past year. Books are available for pick-up ahead of time at the Front Desk. The selection for September is The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall. This event will also take place on October 30th (Book Scavenger by Jennifer Bertman), November 27th (I will Always write back by Martine Ganda), and December 26th (The Boy on the Wooden Box).


Halloween Craft
Saturday, October 14th
1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Kindergarten and up
Have fun making a fun spooky craft for the Halloween season. All supplies are provided, there is no cost for this program.



Friends of the Limestone Township Library District Annual Fall Festival.
Saturday, October 28th
10:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Spend the day with us and our Open Air Craft Market. There will be stories, crafts, and games for kids. Browse the book sale and start looking for the perfect hostess gifts. Costumes are encouraged.



National Family Reading Night
Tuesday, November 14th
6:30 – 7:30 P.M.
Pre-k and up
Join us for fun activities as we celebrate the joy of families reading together. There will be games, crafts, and storytime.





Movie Day!

For All Ages

Sat., November 25th               1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.                                         School is out! Come to the Library and watch a movie with your friends. Popcorn and Lemonade will be served. This program will also happen on December 26th, December 28th, and December 29th.



An Evening with Santa
Monday, December 4
Starting Time 6 P.M.

Join the Friends of the Limestone Township Library District as they present An Evening with Santa. Don’t miss out on Santa reading Clement Moore’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Afterwards, the children can share their personal wish lists with Santa in the Peterson Schoolhouse. This program is for children in pre-school through 3rd Grade.


Family Gingerbread House Workshop
Saturday, December 16
11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. or 1:00 P.M. -2:30 P.M.

Children of all ages can make gingerbread houses. All supplies are provided; there is no cost for this program. You can choose to do either the 11:30 A.M. session or the 1:00 P.M. session. Parents need to stay with their child in second grade or below.
