  • WHEN WILL THE LIBRARY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ONCE MORE?
Limestone Township Library District has re-opened the library to the public as our region builds a lower positivity rate of COVID-19 virus. We do require masks to be worn within the building. We ask that patrons spend no more than two hours inside the building. Public access computers as well as copy and fax services are available.

We can take orders by phone or email. Holds you are able to place on your Prairie Cat account is also available. We are receiving deliveries from other libraries and Prairie Cat is sending out notifications.

For those patrons who want it, we are still offering Contact-less Curbside Pick-up. Please call ahead so we can schedule a time for you and have your pick-up ready.

HOW LONG CAN I CHECK OUT ITEMS?
In order to offer our patrons excellent customer service including greater accessibility to all of our items, print and audio books may be checked out for 2 weeks with the ability to have two (2) renewals (if there is no holds on the item) adding up to a total of six weeks check out period.

DVDs will continue to be checked out for their usual 1-week time period.

HOW ARE STAFF MAINTAINING SAFETY FROM THE VIRUS?

The Library takes staff and public health safety seriously. Staff is cleaning with disinfectant wipes, and wearing masks when unable to maintain social distancing. Computers are wiped down after each use.

Items distributed through our Contact-less Curbside Service will be placed in bags and put in patron’s cars, preferably the trunk of your car.

    • WHAT IS THE DUE DATE FOR ITEMS I CURRENTLY HAVE CHECKED OUT?
Items being checked out now have a due date of two weeks for books, one week for DVDs. It there is not a hold on the item(s), it is possible to renew items.

    • WHEN WILL THE LIBRARY OPEN UP LIKE IT WAS BEFORE THE PANDEMIC QUARANTINE?
We don't know the answer to that. We are listening to local health department officials and governmental bodies for the latest information so that we can open up services as safely as possible.

At this time we are open our normal hours with a two-hour time limit within the library. We have re-instated our Senior/Immuno compromised hour at the beginning of the day. Programming is occurring outside whenever possible.

When there are any other changes, we will announce it on our website, Facebook page, Instagram account, in newspapers, and on radio stations.

    Throughout all of this,
we are working to do our part to keep our community safe,
and give the best service possible.
