Happening at the Library

 


Planning to watch the eclipse on Saturday?

Stop by the library to pick up your free protective eye wear, courtesy of the Adler Planetarium and RAILS.



                                                                                                                                                                                           Have an Adult Craft Night Out            at our Adult Craft Night which takes place on Monday, October 16 at 6:30 P.M. when we create Jack-o-lantern Planters. Space is limited so please register for this program.              All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.

Discover a few new reads for those cozy autumn nights. Starting October 20, our hall will be filled with tables and carts of books for sale at the Friends of the Library Semi-Annual Book Sale. Here you can find new favorites and old friends that could make wonderful gifts or the perfect winter stash of reading materials.

 Hardcover books are $1.00 each, paperbacks are $.50 each. Children’s’ books are $.50, and DVDs are $1.00. You can pay for these items at the Front Desk. The Book Sale runs through Tuesday, November 7, 2023.







Have questions about using Word or Excel or how to get around on the World Wide Web? Come in during Drop-in Tech Help day from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon on            Friday, October 20.                           Staff will do their best to help you solve your problem.

Mark Saturday, October 21st on your calendar for our Annual Fall Fest that happens from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M                                                                    We are featuring spoooooky yard games,            a haunted school house storytime,                     
trunk-or-treat,                      and a pumpkin decorating contest in the library.                                             Lucky will make an appearance as well.       Halloween costumes are encouraged!                                                                  Sign up by stopping at the front desk or calling the library at 815-939-1696.
