What's happening at the Library!

 

Adult Craft Night takes place on Monday, June 26 at 6:30 P.M. when we do Book Binding. 

Space is limited so please register for this program. 

All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.

Writer's Group will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 6:30 P.M. 

A writer's group is a community of writers who come together to share their work, provide feedback, and support each other in their writing endeavors. It can be a great way to improve your writing skills, get inspiration, and connect with other writers. 

Our popular program, S.T.E.M.onade Stand take-and-make projects, returns for the summer. Every week we will have a different project that kids can put together with the help of an adult as needed. On June 28, the project is  Thaumatrope.

Storytime returns for the summer on Wednesdays at 10:15 A.M. with Mr. William reading a picture book or two and leading us through a fun craft. 

Other sessions take place on June 14, June 21, and June 28.

Join us on Tuesday, June 20th at 6:00 PM for the Friends of the Library Pallet Painting Fundraiser. William will lead us on a painting adventure with a pallet canvas. Choose between two fun summery designs. Supplies are provided for this program. 

Registration is required along with a $30 fee. 

Adult Craft Night takes place on Monday, July 3 at 6:30 P.M. when we paint Mandala Stones.

The library will be Closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Happening at the Library!

 

 

Join us for Puppet Storytime Theater on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 A.M. in person with Mr. William and Ms. Holly performing a fun story with our collection of puppets in our puppet theater! Come for the story, stay for the craft afterwards.

The library will be Closed Monday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

Services will resume Tuesday, June 20th at 10:00 AM. Questions please call 815-939-1696 or see us at the front desk.

Make a Tie Dye Shirt at the Library on Saturday, June 24.

Have fun wrapping a shirt with rubber bands and decorating it with crazy colors on Saturday, June 24. The 11:00 A.M. session if full but there is still room in the 1:00 P.M. session.

We provide the tie dye, you provide the shirt!

Fun at the Library!

 

Kids in 1^st through 5^th Grades are invited to Youth Craft Day on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 A.M. We are creating stickers from participants’ imagination. Let your creativity run wild.  

All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.

It’s another Adult Craft Night on Monday, June 12 at 6:30 P.M. Join us while we make Colorful Coasters.

Adult Book Club meets on Tuesday, June 13 at 6:30 P.M. This month we are reading The President’s Daughter by Bill Clinton and James Patterson. 

Copies of the book are available at the Front Desk.

Summer Reading Is Here! Find Your Voice!

 

Registration for our Summer Reading Program – Find Your Voice – has begun. Fill out our super simple form, get your summer reading packet, and start reading to earn your tickets for our prize baskets. Discover our fun events for summer and sign up for the ones you want to attend.
