Summer Reading Kick-Off! Sign Up Today

 We are having a Kick-off Party on Saturday, June 3 
starting at 12:00 Noon that will include 
food, yard games, 
a photo booth with Lucky the library dog, 
and puppet story time!

so we can plan appropriately.

Fun at the Library!





Join us on Saturday, May 27 at 12:00 Noon for Youth Craft. We are making Mini Bottle Aquarium, a craft that is a fun and easy DIY project.

Fill out our super simple form, get your summer reading packet, and start reading to earn your tickets for our prize baskets. Discover our fun events for summer and sign up for the ones you want to attend.

Adult Craft Night takes place on Monday, June 5 at 6:30 P.M. when we make a Mosquito Repellant Candle

Space is limited so please register for this program. 

All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.




Our popular program, S.T.E.M.onade Stand take-and-make projects, returns for the summer on Wednesday, June 7. Every week we will have a different project that kids can put together with the help of an adult as needed. On June 7, the project is Simple Robots.

Storytime returns for the summer on Wednesdays at 10:15 A.M. 

Our first session is on Wednesday, June 7 with Mr. William reading a picture book or two and leading us through a fun craft. 





Join us on Thursday, June 8 from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. for a Family Video Game Party. We will have on hand Super Smash Bothers Ultimate along with Mario Kart and Guitar Hero. Feel free to bring your own Nintendo Switch and joycons! Snack will be provided.




Kids in 1st through 5th Grades are invited to
Youth Craft Day on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 A.M. We are creating stickers from participants’ imagination. Let your creativity run wild.

on             Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 A.M. 
in-person with Mr. William and Ms. Holly performing a fun story with our collection of puppets in our puppet theater!

Writer's Group will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 6:30 P.M. A writer's group is a community of writers who come together to share their work, provide feedback, and support each other in their writing endeavors. It can be a great way to improve your writing skills, get inspiration, and connect with other writers.

At Adult Craft Night on May 15 starting at 6:30 P.M., we are making a Nail Polish Mug
The nail polish mug craft is a fun and easy DIY project where you can create a unique and colorful mug using nail polish. Space is limited so please register for this program ahead of time.




It’s Family Movie Night when we will watch the documentary, Dinosaur 13, while eating popcorn on Tuesday, May 16 at 5:30 PM

All are welcomed.

Coming Up at the Library

The Herscher FFA club presents Storytime on Monday, May 8 at 5:30 P.M. This month’s theme is Farm Animals and the craft will be farm animal masks to make afterwards. 





Adult Book Club
 meets on Tuesday, May 9 at 6:30 P.M. 
This month we are reading Next Year in Havana by Chantel Cleeton. Copies of the book are available at the Front Desk.
