Winter Reading Challenge – A Blizzard of Books!

Join us at Limestone Township Library District for our Winter Reading Challenge – A Blizzard of Books! Participate by keeping a log of how many minutes you have read, filling up your bingo card, and participating in programming events as well as take-and-make crafts at the library. 

By doing so, you can earn tickets for the chance baskets that are on display.

Sign-up for A Blizzard of Books at the Front Desk. You will get a packet with a reading log and the bingo card. The program run through February 10.

Penny the Penguin says remember to turn in your log sheets to get your tickets!





Join us for Adult Craft Night on Monday, January 30 at 6:30 P.M. when we have a Soap Making Workshop. All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.






On Friday, February 3 we will have a new Take-and-Make project ready for pick up. Create your own mascot for Winter Reading with our adorable Penguin kit. Supplies are limited.

 


The whole family can join us on Saturday, February 4 at 12:00 noon when we make cute Valentine’s Day Snow Globes utilizing mini snow globe jars and glitter. All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.

 


Come for an Adult Craft Night on Monday, February 6 at 6:30 P.M. when we make a glass-bead candle holder utilizing a small glass jar and colored glass beads. All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.


 


Join us on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:00 P.M. for an evening of inspiration and conversation with best-selling and award-winning children’s and young adult author and poet, Kwame Alexander, for an Illinois Libraries Present event for young people and their families. This program will be online and not recorded.

Icicle Ornament Craft                                                     
Saturday, January 21                                                  12:00 Noon                                What can you do with aluminum foil, glitter, and glue? Create your own Icicle Ornament. This program is for all members of the familyAll supplies provided; there is no fee for this program.


Take and Make Project                              
On Monday, January 23, stop in to pick up our Chinese New Year Dragons project for kids that will be available on the craft table.  Supplies are limited, stop in sooner rather than later.

              


Writer's Group
Tuesday, January 24
at 6:30 P.M. 
 
We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. When you sign up, please include your email address so we can send your writing. 
This month we will be joined by Melissa Baron, author of the recently published book - Twice in a Lifetime.




Join us online on 
Wednesday, January 25 at 6:30 P.M. for Instapot Stuffed Green Pepper Soup with Holly Carlson. 

She will show us how to use an Insta Pot to make a savory wintery soup.

This program will take place on Facebook.
