Happening at the Library


 Join us for Science with Ms. Faith and Ms. Holly on Monday, November 14 at 6:00 P.M. Our intrepid staff members will demonstrate a science experiment using items you have at home. Kids will have a chance to do the experiment as well. This program is for kids in 1st through 5th grade.



We invite teens to come for Open Game Night on Tuesday, November 15 starting at 6:00 P.M. You can try out our ping pong table as well as various board games including Cards Against Humanity – Family Style.



Join us on
Wednesday, November 16 at 7:00 P.M. for an online conversation with Caitlin Doughty, mortician, bestselling author, and advocate for death acceptance. This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present, a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering premier events. When you sign up, please give your email address so you can be sent the online invitation for the program.




Adult get their own
craft night on Monday, November 21 at 6:30 P.M. when they will create DIY Snowglobes for lasting memories.     All materials are supplied; there is no fee for this program.


 



Our monthly Writer’s Group will meet on    Tuesday, November 22 at 6:30 P.M. We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. When you sign up, please include your email address so we can send your writing piece to other members to critique ahead of time.


Are you participating in National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO) this year? Come spend a part of the day with the library when we host a NANOWRIMO Open Writing Space on Saturday, November 26, starting at 11:00 A.M. Get a change of scenery by bringing your laptop and writing with others in our meeting room. Snacks will be provided.
