Coming up at the Library

 


Join us for Science with Ms. Faith and Ms. Holly on Monday, September 26 at 6:00 P.M.
Our intrepid staff members will demonstrate a science experiment using items you have at home. This program is for kids in 1st through 5th grade.


Our monthly Writer’s Group will meet on Tuesday, September 27 at 6:30 P.M. We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. When you sign up, please include your email address so we can send your writing piece to other members to critique ahead of time.



Storytime will meet Wednesday mornings at 10:15 A.M. in person with Ms. Holly reading an exciting picture book or two and work on a craft to help preschoolers discover the joy of reading! George, our giant stuffed monkey, will also attend for children who want to practice their reading skills by reading to George!




DIY Lava Lamps on Saturday, October 1 at 1:00 P.M.  
Discover how to make your own Lava Lamp using a wine bottle, oil, and a coloring agent. This program is for kids in 2nd Grade and up.






Paper Pumpkins - Adult Craft Night on Monday, October 3 at 6:30 P.M. Spend Monday night at the library with family and/or friends while creating these adorable paper pumpkins. 




We invite teens (13-18) to bring some friends to make a collection of Fairy House Planters at our YA Craft Night on Tuesday, October 4 at 6:00 P.M. We will be using a terra cotta planter, sand, stones and other materials to create some magic.




The library will be Closed on Monday, October 10 in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day

We will re-open on Tuesday, October 11 at 10:00 A.M.

Fun at the Library

 


Family can have fun together making a Decorative Leaf Bowl at Family Craft Night on Monday, September 19 at 6:00 P.M.  With the help of Modge Podge, Families can turn leaves into a bowl.




We invite teens to come for Open Game Night on Tuesday, September 20 starting at 6:00 P.M. You can try out our ping pong table as well as various board games including              Cards Against Humanity – Family Style.




Our S.T.E.M.-onade Stand features a new Take-and-Make craft every other Wednesday for kids in 3rd grade and up. These bags contain items to make a fun STEM inspired craft. Directions are included. September 21 features Pan Pipes.





Come See Us at the Community Arts Council Fall Art Stroll on Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. at Perry Farm. Stop at our table at the Fall Art Stroll for a Scarecrow paper bowl craft. Make sure to walk around and see all of the decorated scarecrows.

Check Out What's Happening at the Library


 Fall Luminaries 

Adults Craft Night 

Monday, September 12 at 6:30 P.M.  

We will utilize Mason Jars and acrylic paint to create a luminary to use in your fall décor.




                    Adult Book Club 

 Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30 P.M. 

This month we are discussing Dopesick by Beth Macy. 

Copies of the book are available at the Front Desk.

Using pages from an old paperback book, we will create glittery leaves to use for the Fall Decorating season.
