Programs at the Library This Week

 


Join us for an Adult Night Out crafting Rock Coasters on Monday, June 27                at 6:30 P.M. Have a fun night at the library and make decorative rock coasters to use on your patio or at camp!


Our monthly Writer’s Group will meet on Tuesday, June 28 at 6:30 P.M. in the Meeting room. We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. When you sign up, please include your email address so we can send your writing piece to other members to critique ahead of time.


Kids in 2nd through 5th grades, come join us when we present                            Grow Your Own Crystals on Thursday, June 30 at 1:00 P.M. We are exploring the science of growing your own crystals with Epsom Salt in a hands-on experiment.



Saturday, July 2 will have a Marshmallow Shooter Take-it-and-Make craft that families can drop by to pick up. Each bag contains the needed parts and instruction. This project is geared for kids in 1st-5th grades. 



The library will be Closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of 
Independence Day. We will re-open on Tuesday, July 5 at 10:00 A.M.

Have Fun at the Library

Duct Tape Pencil Pouches


Have fun making Duct Tape Pencil Pouches on Tuesday, June 21 at 1:00 P.M. Young Adults can come to l
earn a new craft by turning duct tape into a pencil pouch or wallet. Please register ahead of time before the program.



Standing Guard: Protecting What You've Worked For

We invite the community to attend Standing Guard: Protecting What You've Worked For on Tuesday, June 21 at 4:30 P.M. in our Community Meeting Room. Adam Elroy, financial advisor with Edward Jones, will share strategies you can use to help prepare for the unexpected.



Storytime

Story Time takes place on Wednesdays.   We will meet at 10:15 A.M. in person with Mr. William to read an exciting picture book or two and work on a craft to help preschoolers discover the joy of reading! George, our giant stuffed monkey, will be in attendance for children who want to practice their reading skills by reading to George!



S.T.E.M.onade Stand


Every Wednesday, kids in 3rd grade and up 
can come to the library for a new Take-and-Make craft from our S.T.E.M.onade Stand. These bags contain items to make a fun STEM inspired craft. Directions included. June 22 will feature a 
Fibonacci Bracelet.


Drop-In Maker Space

Drop-In Maker Space is happening on Friday, June 24 for the entire family. Have a craft you want to finish or want to work on something from our Maker Space Cart? Drop in the library and find something creative to work on.




Weekend Crafting 


Saturdays features a Weekend Crafting Session. On Saturday, June 25 we are going to Tie Dye in two sessions. Kids in 4th-8th grades are to come at 11:00 A.M. High School age and Adults will have a session at 1:00 P.M.  Participants need to bring their own tee shirts.

This Week at the Library

 


Summer reading programming starts on Monday, June 6 with a Design Your Own Coffee Mug program at 1:00 P.M. for Adults and Teens. We will work with Oil-based Sharpies to personalize your very own coffee mug.




We invite you to join us for a presentation on The Power of Budgeting on Monday, June 6 at 4:30 P.M. in the Meeting Room. This presentation for Adults and Teens will teach you the basics on how to set up a budget, presented by Adam Elroy, a financial advisor from Edward Jones. 




Want to know more about the reading challenge app, Beanstack? Attend our program - How to Beanstack 101. It will take place on Tuesday, June 7 at 1:00 P.M. In this family event, join William as he helps participants in Summer Reading learn to use the app to track your minutes and titles.

On Friday, June 10, we are having a Movie at the Library starting at 1:00 P.M. The whole family can come to the library and beat the heat while watching Spider-man: No Way Home. Popcorn and drinks will be served.






Saturdays features a Weekend Crafting Session. On Saturday, June 11 at 11:00 A.M., we will make Beaded Bookmarks. Please register ahead of time so we can have plenty of supplies on hand. This program is for children in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.
