Programs at the Library!

 



The Book Sale is Here!

The Friends of the Library Semi-Annual Book Sale takes place starting Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 29 during library hours.



Adult Book Club
 

 Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30 P.M. in person. 

We will be discussing The Chancellor by Kati Marton, a biography about recently retired German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Books are available for check out at the Front Desk.


Storytime


Story Time has moved to Wednesdays. We will meet at 10:15 A.M. in person with Mr. William to read an exciting picture book or two and work on a craft to help preschoolers discover the joy of reading!



Science Demonstration with Ms. Holly and Ms. Faith

April 13 at 5:00 P.M. 

Watch as our intrepid staff members demonstrate a science experiment using items you have at home. This program is for kids in 1st through 5th grades.


Scrabble Night

We are celebrating National Scrabble Day on Wednesday, April 13 with an open Scrabble Night for all ages. Come at 6:30 P.M. and play your best words to score the most points!




STEAM Workshop 

Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 A.M.

A part of our Getting Ready for Kindergarten grant program, STEAM Workshop is geared for students entering kindergarten in 2022. This month we are doing Farmers Market. Each participant who registers will receive a kit (while supplies last) to complete an experiment with Mr. William. This program is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.



Earth Day Seed Paper

We are celebrating Earth Day on April 23 at 1:00 P.M. by creating Earth Day Seed Paper. The whole family can join in as we mush paper and seeds together to create plantable paper for various garden items.





Every Saturday, we have a new Take-It-and-Make-It craft that anyone can pick up. The crafts are geared for children in 1st through 5th grades. 
You can post your finished product on Facebook or Instagram 
and tag Limestone Township Library District.
