This Week at the Library

 


The library will be closed on 

Monday, February 21st 

in observance of Presidents’ Day. 

We will re-open on Tuesday, February 22nd at 10:00 A.M.


Writer's Group

We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. When you sign up, please include your email address so we can send you the Discord link and beable to send your writing piece to other members to critique ahead of time.
Our next meeting will be March 22




Books and Baking

Wednesday, February 23

For Kids in 1st - 5th Grades

Join Austin on  Facebook as he shares books about baking and demonstrates how to decorate cupcakes. Grab-and-Go bags will be available before the day of the program. 





DIY Mini-Golf Course

Wednesday, February 23 Pick-up

6:00 P.M. on Facebook

Kids in 3rd - 5th Grades

Reschedule because of weather and utility work closures, this program has a Take-and-Make kit to pick up on Wednesday before the Facebook presentation to learn how to create your own mini golf course.  


STEAM Workshop

Thursday, February 24 

6:00 P.M. on Facebook

A part of our Getting Ready for Kindergarten grant program, STEAM Workshop is geared for students entering kindergarten in 2022. This month we are doing Stuffed Froggy Dissection Lab. Each participant who signs up will receive a kit to complete an experiment with adult supervision, following along a video with Mr. Austin on Facebook. 

This program is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley



Every Saturday, we have a new Take-It-and-Make-It craft that anyone can pick up. The crafts are geared for children in 1st through 5th grades. You can post your finished product on Facebook or Instagram and tag Limestone Township Library District.




The hours of the library have not change . Mask usage per the governor’s mandate and within the library remains in place. 

Should there be any changes in accessibility of the library, we will announce it in newspapers, on radio stations, Facebook, and Instagram, and on this space.
