Writer's Group

6:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. 

We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. Please bring some of your writing work to share with others.


 


STEAM Workshop

Wednesday, December 29 at 6:00 P.M.

A part of our Getting Ready for Kindergarten grant program, STEAM Workshop is geared for students entering kindergarten in 2022. This month we are doing engineering experiments with Legos. STEAM Workshop is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.

 

Family Game Night 

Thursday, December 30  

6:00 P.M. 

The whole family can come for an evening of playing games and having fun. We will pull out our ping-pong table along with our giant Jenga blocks and Cards Against Humanity Family Edition. You can also bring hook-ups for video games.

Christmas Cookie Decorating

Wednesday, December 22 at 6:00 P.M., 

We are Christmas Cookie Baking in the Meeting Room. There is no better smell than Christmas Cookies in the oven. Help us decorate a mess of cookies.

 


Christmas Movie Night  

Thursday, December 23 at 6:00 P.M. 

Bring the family for an evening watching Polar Express with Tom Hanks! Popcorn and drinks will be served.




The library will be closed on Friday, December 24, and Saturday, December 25 for the Christmas holidays. 

We will re-open on Monday, December 27 at 10:00 A.Mt

Every Saturday, we have a new Take-and-Make Craft available for pick up. These are geared for children in 1st through 5th grade. For Saturday, December 18, the craft is a Christmas Puzzle.

Evening with Santa

Monday, December 6
5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.

Families will have five-minute time slots to visit with Santa. Each child will receive a goody bag with a Christmas book, a wearable craft, and a craft to take home.






Storytime

Join us for a time of stories geared for children ages 6 mos to 5 years
 to help develop a love for reading. This week  join with Ms. Holly on Facebook.









Science Demonstration with Ms. Faith and Ms. Holly
Wednesday, December 8 at 6:00 P.M. on Facebook. 
Watch as they demonstrate a science experiment, using items you can find in your home. For kids in 3rd through 6th grade.




Intro to Cybersecurity
Thursday, December 9 at 6:00 P.M., 
Meeting Room of the Library
we are having a class about cyber security for adults. We will start with a power point presentation about cybersecurity with a question-and-answer period afterwards.
