This program is for children in 1st through 5th Grade. Learn how to draw a haunted house that can match your own imaginings.

Writer's Group

 Tuesday, October 26 at 6:30 P.M. 

We plan to edit and critique each other's work, becoming better writers in the process. If you attend, please bring something to read aloud.

NYT Bestseller Author Chris Bohjalian is visiting us through an e-visit format at 6:30 P.M.

Build Your Own Spaceship 

Thursday, October 28 at 6:00 P.M.  

Use crafting materials to make a spaceship like none other! This program is for children in 1st through 5th Grade.





Join us for an Outdoor Movie Night on October 29 at 6:00 P.M as we present Jurassic World. The whole family can enjoy the cool night air on the grounds of the library as we watch dinosaurs become real in our world. This program is a part of KALA’s One Book One Community program month-long celebration of Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton.

Fun at the Library!

 


Fall Festival

Saturday, October 23  

11:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. 

Outside on the library grounds. 

We will have a wide variety of seasonal games, crafts, and  Trunk-or-Treat. We have a roving magician to entertain. The Limestone Township Fire District is coming with their firetruck. The Bennett-Curtis House Food Truck will be here to sell tasty delights.

And we will have a guest appearance by our very own Lucky of Facebook/Instagram fame a short meet-and-greet time from 12 noon till 1:00 P.M. You can read to Lucky and get a photo.  Don’t forget the costume contest, the winner will receive a prize basket so come in your best costume.



Cooking with the Season with Austin 

 Monday, October 18 at 6:00 P.M. on Facebook. 

Join Austin as he makes Pizza Grilled Cheeses.

Fire Extinguisher Chemistry 

Tuesday, October 19 at 6:00 P.M. on the library grounds. 

Austin Earsley will explain how a fire extinguisher works and why you need different types of fire extinguishers! Demonstration  included. This program is for the whole family.




STEAM Workshop

 Wednesday, October 20 at 6:00 P.M. 

Geared for students entering kindergarten in 2022, this month we are making dinosaur bath bombs. This grant program is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.

Thursday, October 21 at 6:00 P.M. on the Patio

Come for an evening of learning to play chess and new moves to improve your game no matter the level. In case of rain, this program will be moved inside.
