Limestone
Township Library District Announces
Phased Plan for Resuming Service
Phased Plan for Resuming Service
In the interest of the safety of our patrons, Limestone
Township Library District (LTLD) has been closed during the pandemic. But that
doesn’t mean the library stopped all services. Online resources have been
available and will continue to be available, e-resources such as Overdrive
E-Books, World Book Online, Tumble Books, and Consumer Reports.
The Library has been monitoring the recommendations
and guidelines of government and public health officials regarding COVID-19. To
ensure it is operating as safely as possible, the Library is taking a phased
approach to resuming services. Staff have recently returned to the
building to deep clean and prepare for when LTLD resumes partial services. You
may have seen staff cars in the parking lot
Starting June 1, 2020, LTLD
will accept book returns in our book drop outside of the library. Items will be
placed in a seven-day quarantine as they are returned before being checked in
and returned to the shelves. Our governing body has stopped all late charges
through June 26, 2020 so if you return an item before that date you will not be
given a late fee. We are not accepting donations until further notice.
Book drop hours are as
follows:
Mondays 10 A.M. - 1 P.M.
Wednesdays 4 P.M. - 7 P.M.
Fridays 10 A.M. - 1 P.M.
We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess as more
information becomes available. It is always possible to contact the library by
phone (815-939-1696), or email us at info@limestonelibrary.org, message us at Facebook or Instagram.
In the meantime, we are a community, we are in this together,
and we’re looking forward to seeing you soon.
