Now Available: Apply for a Library Card from Home!

Our building may currently be closed,
but our library is always open 24/7 online!

In order to serve our community as effectively as possible during Governor Pritzker's stay-at-home order for our library, as well as local schools who are conducting e-learning through the end of the school year, we are now accepting online library card applications from home!

How to Get Your Card:

Limestone Township residents:

Email a selfie; a picture of your Illinois drivers license (or state ID); your cell phone number; a recent utility bill; and your home email address to:
info@limestonelibrary.org

A staff member will email you your new library card number for immediate use; you will be able to pick up your physical library card after the library reopens.

Non-Residents (those living within the Herscher C.U.S.D. #2 school district, but outside Limestone and Salina* Townships):

Note: For a limited time, Limestone Township Library District will issue temporary cards to those residing within the Herscher school district, but reside outside Limestone Township and Bonfield*. Cards are meant to offer e-resources for the duration of the school year, and to allow the opportunity to try out the many e-resources LTLD has to offer. Temporary cards will expire June 5, 2020, unless renewed, and accompanied by the annual non-resident payment of $123.00 (or 2 payments of $61.50).

Email a selfie; a picture of your Illinois drivers license (or state ID); your cell phone number; a recent utility bill; and your home email address to:
info@limestonelibrary.org

A staff member will email your new library card number for immediate use. If you would like to renew your card, please contact us at: info@limestonelibrary.org before June 5, 2020.

*Those residing in Bonfield/Salina Township are served by the Fossil Ridge Library District (FRLD). FRLD is also making online temporary library cards available for their patrons. For more information, please email them at:
