Come to the Library with your friends to study in the meeting room. Use various resources at the Library for class projects. Library staff will be on hand to give assistance. This is our end of the month Pizza Party, please register in advance.

Enjoy the mix of crafts, stories, and music to help young children develop a love for reading. Parents and guardians can bring their 6-months to 5-year-old children.


Essential Oils Class

Learn the basics on how Essential Oils
can help improve your life and how to use them effectively, starting with learning different blends and techniques.



GRFK - Harvest

Ages 3- 5 years old
Getting Ready for Kindergarten program welcomes you to come and the harvest season! This program, is for children ages 3-5 years old who are not yet in kindergarten, and is funded by a grant from the Community Works fund from the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley. 



Lego Building

Pre-K &Up
Our Lego building blocks and your creativity can only add up to lots of fun at the library. Join us and other Lego enthusiasts for a drop in time of building fun. For children in Kindergarten and up.

Our system is having troubles so you are not be able to get into your Omni accounts at this
time. Prairie Cat is aware of the problem and is working to fix it as soon as possible.
We will place a notice on Facebook and our website when Omni is back up and running
The Prairie Cat Catalog on our website has not been affected by this.

Senior Yoga with Julia McDonald
Monday, September 17th
11:00AM - 12:00 Noon

 Wear something easy to move in and grab your tennis shoes, we are going to do yoga!
Instructor Julia McDonald is going to teach us meditation techniques and breathing awareness by using gentle movement to increase mobility of the spine, shoulders and hips.
Leave feeling refreshed and renewed!

Come one, come all. Paint a canvas, share a cookie. Grab your favorite kind of cookie to share and come to the Library for Canvas and Cookie night. Craft materials will be provided. There is a $5.00 supply fee for this program. You must preregister.
