Pushing the Limits – Strategy

Book Club meets Science Café to discuss extreme weather, climate change, and community resiliency with Dr. Jason Webster, NOAA science partner. This session’s focus is on what we can do to deal with the changes brought on by extreme weather. Register in advance at the Library.

Come out for a night of fun as you battle against opponents to see who can score the most points building words tile by tile.

Friends of the Limestone Township Library District Annual Fall Festival.

Spend the day with us and our Open Air Craft Market. There will be stories, crafts, and games for kids. Browse the book sale and start looking for the perfect hostess gifts.                                                                                                                      Costumes are encouraged.


Caudill Book Club

4th – 8th Grades
Kid in 4th-7th Grade get to meet each month to discuss a Caudill Award winning book from the past year. Books are available for pick-up ahead of time at the Front Desk. The selection for October is Book Scavenger by Jennifer Bertman.

Come for an evening of coloring and relaxation as you create beautiful pictures. Bring your own coloring book and medium (colored pencils, markers, or crayons), or use our colored pencils and coloring pages.



Tiny Explorers
Tuesday, October 17th
10:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Playing at a number of stations, children will learn fine motor skills with the help of manipulatives. Activities are meant for children from ages 6 months to 5 years old.


Computer Q&A – One-on-One
Wednesday, October 18th
6:00 P.M.; 6:30 P.M.; & 7:00 P.M.
Sign up to get a one-on-one tutorial about your computer. Bring your laptop or device and plan for an half an hour of active learning.


Getting Ready for Kindergarten         Costume Party
Saturday, October 21st
1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Kids  who are 3-5 years old can come join us for a Costume Party as we celebrate the steps in reading 1000 books before kindergarten. There will be loads of fun and games and you can dress in your favorite costume. This program is made possible by a grant from the Community Works fund from the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.
