Children in Grades K-2 will
learn elementary steps of drawing while creating their own designs. All
supplies are provided there is no fee for this program.
Read
to the Dogs
Monday, June 19th
6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
Children will have a chance to read aloud to the trained
therapy dogs on hand, giving the children a sense of confidence and
companionship as they read. This event also takes place July 18th.
Tiny Explorers
Tuesday, June 20th
10:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Playing at a number of stations,
children will learn fine motor skills with the help of manipulatives. Activities
are meant for children from ages 6 months to 5 years old. This program also
occurs July 18th.
University
Of Ill Extension Office – Engineer for a Day
Tuesday, June 20th

3rd – 5th Grade
Presented by the University of Illinois
Extension office, kids in 3rd-5th grades will take on the
challenges an engineer faces. The kids will brainstorm how to solve it, design,
build it, and test out their idea. Kids will learn how to solve real world
problems using supplies they can find at home. This week’s challenge is Bridges
and Ziplines.

Join us as Char Morgan demonstrates how to make a fairy
garden. All participants will leave with the start of their own special garden.
