Join us for Kick-Off Week of our Summer Reading Program-  Read to the Rhythm



Tuesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 11, Storytime 
10:00 A.M.,                                                                                                             
Join Ms. Anita for stories, a craft and refreshments! Learn new skills and meet new people. This program is meant for children ages 6 mos-5 years. Sign-up for Tuesday or Thursday.                                                                                                                                                                          Wednesday, June 10,  3D Sticker Workshop,  1:00 – 2:00 P.M.,  3rd  - 5th Grades                                                                            

Join Megan Walsh from U of I Extension Office as she teaches kids how to make something simple and quick with an electronic cutter. Participants will learn how to trace images using the cutters vectors and basic geometry to create their own design. This is a great class for beginners.

Thursday June 11, Read to the Dogs, 
1:00-2:00 P.M.                                                                                     
 The therapy dogs return to listen to a story.  Each child  will choose a book to read to their fluffy canine companion. Parents may attend with children and assist in the reading, if necessary. Pre-register for your time slot!

Thursday,  June 11, Book to Movie, Over 18 Crowd ,  6:00 - 8:00 P.M. 
His Girl Friday
Join us for an evening movie in which we watch the classic comedy, His Girl Friday  starring Cary Grant as the newspaper editor to Rosalind Russell’s reporter. There will be a short discussion time after the movie.

Saturday, June 13, Kickoff  Read to the Rhythm Party, 12:30 P.M., All Ages,                                      
We are having an extravaganza that includes Face Painting, as well as Fire Spinners Nick Vitale and Friends. Acting Out Theatre Company are performing a selection from their summer production of CATS at 1:30 P.M. 
Pre-register for a fun-filled afternoon!
