  Learn the basics of the Word program with instructor Theresa Shafiabady. Adults who sign up for this program will need to attend both days of the program.

Monday, November 10th from 10:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m., Veterans Reception
 In honor of Veteran's Day, we invite area veterans to come to the Library for coffee and donuts.

 Monday, November 10th at 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Reading to the Dogs
 Calling all kids, from pre-school on up, to read to our special therapy dogs who like listening to stories from a lot of different books. If your child cannot read yet, mom or dad can read to both the child and the dog.

Saturday, November 15th, 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 P.M., Lego Building
Have fun with other Lego enthusiasts creating objects with our Lego blocks. This play session is meant for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

Tuesday, November 18th, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Fizz, Boom Read – Family Reading Night
Spend the evening at the library, celebrating the joy of reading. There will be a story time and some scientific experimentation that might lead to some fun. This event is for all members of the family. Please register ahead of time for this program.

Wednesday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m., Adult Craft Night
Why should kids have all the fun? Get together with friends to make a decorative craft for the season with Miss Pat. This month’s craft is a holiday topper that can be used in a variety of décor articles.

October 20, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. YA Book Club
Join us for book club night for kids in 5th through 8th grade. For the month of October we are reading Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief. Come along for a lively discussion.

Storytime is a mix of crafts, stories, music and snacks to help young children develop a love for reading. Parents and guardians can bring their 6-months to five-year-old children in for a time of storytelling, crafting, music, and fun. 



Thursday, October 23rd from 6:00 p.m. till 7:30 P.M., Busse and Rieck Meet Up!
Join us for a special presentation at the Busse and Rieck store on Station Street by their lead designers to get ideas on new trends in home decor including Nordic ethnic pieces and Owls. Refreshments are included. This event is free but space is limited. Hurry to sign up for your spot!

Saturday, October 25th from 1:00 P.M. till 2:30 P.M., Fall Festival
The Friends of the Limestone Library present the Annual Fall Festival for all ages. Families are invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of fun activities including story time in our Spooky Schoolhouse with the Acting Out Theatre Group, crafts, wagon rides, book sale, and door prizes. Come dressed in costume to add to the fun!

Thursday, October 9, 10 a.m. till 11 a.m., Storytime 
Parent and guardians can bring their 6 months to five year old children in for a time of crafting, storytelling, music, and fun that helps develop a love of learning.
 

Thursday, October 9th, Start time 1:00 P.M., Movie Day
Join us for an afternoon of movie watching. This afternoon we are viewing Monster House, a movie about three friends who confront the spooky house on the block. For kids in kindergarten and up. 
Free popcorn and lemonade will be served.


Friday, October 10th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Spooktacular Craft
Calling all children in 2nd to 5th grade to help create spooktacular Halloween decorations.


Saturday, October 11th from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M., Kankakee Valley Model Flyers Club
Spend the afternoon with the Kankakee Valley Model Flyers Club as they demonstrate how to fly remote control planes. Participants will learn how to fly remote control planes with the use of computer generated programs. For kids in 5th grade and older.
