Upcoming Events at Limestone Township Library




September 15, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. YA Book and Pizza
Join us for book club night for kids in 5th through 8th grade. For the month of September we are reading Peak by Roland Smith. After we discuss the book, we will share some pizza. Stop in to pick up your book at the Front Desk beginning Friday, August 15th.




September 16th & 18th, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Tiny Explorers
Join us for a new morning program specifically for children 6 months to 5 years old. Parents and Guardians come along for this new program a chance for kids of all ages to play and build using age-appropriate manipulatives. It is a great time of socialization and play. Tiny Explorers meets on Tuesday and Thursday of the third week of every month.


 
Saturday, September 12th, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Lego Building
Have fun with other Lego enthusiasts creating objects with our Lego blocks. This play session is meant for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.



Saturday, September 20th from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Eco-bot Challenge
In this experiment, youth in grades 5th through 8th will enhance their engineering skills by assembling their own Eco-Bots and surface controls to manage an environmental clean-up. Youth will then test the interaction between the Eco-Bot's design features and various barriers to determine the most effective clean-up solution for a simulated toxic spill.


Monday, September 22nd at 6:30  - 7:30 p.m. Reading to the Dogs
Calling all kids, from pre-school on up, to read to our special therapy dogs who like listening to stories from a lot of different books. If your child cannot read yet, mom or dad can read to both the child and the dog.
