This Week at the Library






The Month of April is Poetry Month 
Students in Grades 5-8 who write a poem and bring it to the Library will have their poem put on display and earn a ticket to win the prize basket on the Poetry display.

Storytime
Join us for a time of themed stories, crafts and music that encourages literacy for young children. For Children ages 3-5 and parents/grandparents/guardians
 
 
Tuesday, April 29 from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
 Crochet with Helen
 Learn the Grannie Square Stitch to make a throw pillow. The second lesson on this night teaches you how to connect the squares. 
Ages 7th grade and Up. 


Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m.
Lapsits
Children 2 and under are invited to join us for a wonderful interactive experience that incorporates music, stories and play activities as a part of this learning exploration.
For Children ages 6 months to 2 years old and their parents/grandparents/guardians. Call the Library at 815-939-1696 to register for this program.


Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m.
Mother's Day Craft
Join us to make a craft for Mom
to celebrate her special day the following week. 
Kids 5 years and up are invited to create and celebrate Mom.

Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!
Thursdays May 1,8,15,22, &29; 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Presented by Brittany Spriggs of Herscher CUSD#2 Partners in Parenting Program 
and Limestone Township Library.
This five-week program by Love and Logic Institute  is designed to give parents practical skills to deal with things such as disruptions at meal times, temper tantrums, 
how to get children up-and-about in the morning, and other day-to-day parenting issues.
The program is free but you do need to register.
