New Software System Beginning July 5th

Important Changes Coming to Our Library in July!

We're migrating to a new software system, please note the following
temporary borrowing changes:

· July 1-6: Please babysit our books! The library will be giving you extended loans for items checked out, so that no materials will be due during these dates, to reduce the number of items returned during the transition period between catalogs.

· June 29-July 6: No holds will be able to be placed during this time, by patrons or staff.

· July 2-3: Only checkouts will be allowed.
· Renewals will not be possible
· You must have your library card with you to checkout materials

· July 4: Limestone Township Library will be closed in observance of Independence Day

· July 5: Limestone Township Library will open on a delayed time schedule. The library will open at 12:00 P.M. (noon) in order to allow needed time for a smooth transition between catalogs, resulting in better service for patrons.

· July 6: Beginning July 6, there will be a 1 day grace period for materials. Materials “On Hold” will be held no longer than 6 days.

Limestone Township Library Receives Libri Foundation Grant!

The Limestone Township Library has received a $1,400 grant through the
Libri Foundation and matching funds from the Limestone Township Friends of the Library organization (LTFOL).

The Libri Foundation is a nationwide non-profit organization which donates new, quality, hardcover children's books to small, rural public libraries in the United States through its BOOKS FOR CHILDREN program. The Libri Foundation was established in 1989 for the sole purpose of helping rural libraries acquire new, quality, hardcover children's books they could not otherwise afford. Since October 1990, the Foundation has donated over $5.25 million worth of new children's books to more than 3,000 libraries in all 50 states.

The Limestone Township Library is thankful not only for the original grant, but for the additional $350 in bonus grant funds it received from the Libri Foundation for math and science children’s books, bringing the grant total for purchasing new children’s books to $1,400.

The library was able to purchase 81 new children’s books, including 19 books dedicated to math and science for children.
